Memory could not be read error. [RESOLVED]

Hello,
I have recently installed RMXP on my new laptop, however it won't let me run the program, or anything for that matter.
I constantly get the error saying.
0x00d8e1a3 memory could not be read.
If this helps at all: I am using Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3, RMXP is version 1.02a
In the game.ini it says I am using RGSS100J.dll
Also, this is a school borrowed computer, and I have indeed disabled it's crummy firewall and other such security blocking features.
Any suggestions would be nice. Thanks~

Now, I'm not 100% sure of this, but I think that you have an outdated version of the RTP. Try re-downloading the RTP from enterbrains website... I dunno why that would be the problem though. It's a suggestion though...

If you look at what they said about the game.ini, it is looking for the Japanese .dll file. Also, it could be something to do with Service Pack 3, I can't be sure becasue I haven't tested it.

RGSS100J.dll, doesn't that mean it's the japanese version?

Anyway, try a clean install and whatnot. But I wouldn't reccomend registering your RMXP to a borrowed laptop, as you can only register it twice (if I recall correctly). So you may want to wait until you have your own laptop or whatever.

Peace

Well, I did a clean install, and I asked a friend of mine to help me find a more up to date RTP, since you guy suggested it was out of date. So we found a newer RTP (RGSS102e.dll I believe) and so far it works just fine! Thanks for your suggestions!
The other RTP was one that I had used before and it always worked fine, even though it was in japanese lol.
Thanks again

Oh and I haven't registered it on the borrowed laptop because I don't plan on having the laptop for too much longer. Our home computers are almost all ixed up
