A map, created with GIMP ...

I think about using this style for my project but I am not sure about it. What do you thing?

better than most, but for more realism you should curve the lines more.. When you make straight rivers and borders like that, it looks like it's computer-generated..

also lose the elvish stuff, i don't like it.

I really like the color schematic but its lacking detail. Add some mountains and land differences to your map. Also it is extremely small for a world map, or even a country map really. The rivers need more curviness to them too. Also, I hope that water is temporary because is doesnt match the map very well. Overall this is a great start or rough draft. Now just edit and spoof it up some to make it look pretty (like a butterfly).

@ becoolioman: I think I will try mountains next time (the problem is that I have to draw them first ;D)
But I think land differences (if you mean height differences^^) would be too much detail. This map should look medieval.
The curviness of the rivers was mentioned by Samot already.

I think he means the sea, and i'd have to agree. I think it's because it has alot more texture than the land and makes it seem a bit busy. I would also make the font size smaller, but that could just be me.

Well, after examining it more, I think it's just the color scheme of the land, which is just a personal annoyance.
