Map Making Limits...

While creating a world map I realized that the maps grid has a max of 500 width and 500 height.  Is there a way to make it larger or am I forced to a medium sized map.  I want a large map to fill randomness in like morrowind and oblivion, and preferrably to have the ability to loop.

No, the maximum is 500x500, and the minimum is 20x15,.
I don't see why you would make a world map from 500x500 map.
You'd have a hard time mapping all of the world maps, and then all the maps of the forest's, city's, etc.

Plus making a map that big is begging for a very laggy game. You'd do better to make smaller maps and have them all connect seemlessly.

Short answer: No, 500x500 is hard coded into RMXP.  :sad:

Long answer: You technically could go larger with scripts, but it would be much more trouble than its worth since you wouldn't be able to make the maps the normal way in the editor. Not to mention I don't think anyone has made this script yet for that reason.

There is a script that auto transports you to the next map with no transition, made for exactly this reason.
