Map in menu background

I searched and couldnt find anything on freezing the map and having it in the background of the menu.

The concept seems pretty easy, but I cant figure out how to do it. If it has been done just leave a link.

I have set all windows to be transparent and I would like the last image from the map scene to be the background of the menu scene.

I just cant figure out quite how to do it.
