Making enemies respawn

I know I've did this once in my RMXP career (lol) but I just can't fo the life of me remember how. I'm trying to make it so that enemies keep re-spawning during battle, and when you kill one enemy (a boss) the battle ends without you having to kill all the monsters.

Have a battle event(I assume you know how to use battle events) that runs when the enemy's HP is like ~10% or less. Within the battle event, have the script call:$game_troop.enemies 
 
I didn't have to use scripts last time I did it.

Anyway, I think I figured it out. I put in the troop event

Conditional Branch: Enemy 1 knockout inflicted
Enemy 2 knockout inflicted
Enemy 3 knockout inflicted
>enemy appearance1, 2, and 3
Conditional Branch: Boss knockout inflicted
Change all enemies in troops' state to knockout.
