Looking to hire (For $$$) a web designer!

Hey, not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm looking to hire (for actual money, most likely to be paid via paypal) a web designer to help with a template design.

This job is going to be graphic intensive, so I'm looking for someone with very good and creative graphic skills who can work quickly and doesn't mind doing modifications to the work to make sure it looks good and I'm happy with it. It is a standard template, so I don't need any hosting, or code, just a straight photoshop document of a one-page design once its all said and done.

Due to the nature of the site and the template design, someone with a wide range of design is needed, including sprite, logo and in-game art design. Basically, we want a web designer that has experience in graphic design (Pixel art a HUGE plus!) for video games.

I cannot stress how graphic-intensive this design is and how much creativity you will need to have to pull it off, please be prepared for this if you reply. There's no short leash here, so you'll have a good amount of free reign to make it how you want, as long as it looks GOOD.

Please reply with a BASIC price quote so my organization can get an idea of where you'd like to go with this, and at least one example of a design you've done before.

This is a job from an NPO located in the US, but it is not a contract, salary or hourly position. We will be BUYING the design and all rights to it from you.

Sadly, I'm not at liberty to say.

I guess I did a poor job of addressing the need in my original post.

Basically, if you could design a 2D pixel-art RPG (similar to FF6US) and/or Platformer (similar to Super Mario World), including a menu system, "tiles" or pixel-art for houses, trees, platforms, etc; and you have basic knowledge of web standards and HTML, we're an NPO looking for your help

so wait... are you looking for a graphic designer, or a pixel artist? I mean... in the first post you said you wanted the graphics for the website, and then in the next one you want an artist for things like games and RTPish stuff... What one are you looking for? There is a big difference in the two.

Graphic designers, as I see them, and like myself, are more likley to use Illustrator, which uses vector files to make all of the needed designs. (more for website than anything)

The pixel artist would seem to be more like the Photoshop kind of guy who works Directly with pixels, rather than vectors...

So basically I am a little confused... What EXACTLEY are you looking for? and can you possibly give any examples?
Maybe give out the first "request" that you would be making to the graphic designer you eventually hire, so that those here (including myself) can get a better understanding of what you are requesting.

Can you explain to me what you need for the design, is there a lot of pages, or is it just a template for a specific page or just a separate image for each part of a page? Can you give me that much info?

Usually for a website layout, I would charge $5-20 USD depending on the quality(and don't think i'll give you a crappy layout on purpose though).

I can do a bit of web design, but not flash web, no. Only HTML and Javascript, both of which I'm capable of doing.

I'm a moderate pixel artist, I guess I can help, I wouldn't normally ask for over $20 or something though.

That's sounds like an insult, and trust me, I can do better than the examples, I just didn't have any real inspiration or direction on them. Tell me what you want it look like(as long as i can make it look a bit different)and i can do a lot better.

If you're offering someone a service, you only put up your best work. One of them is apparently your portfolio, and I can't tell what's worse, the hooded ninja or that.

Also, I wasn't saying that it was bad because it was simplistic, or anything, but really, when designing a website you don't use such bright colors, or you don't make it so that the text is unreadable.

Just putting up shitty examples because 'you had no direction on them' is not good enough.

Alright I will work on better examples, but thank you for telling me that the colors were too bright, I didn't realize that.

Hmm, you say you need a pixel artist, just wondering, what is it they'll be doing, for example, buildings, people, monsters, sheep playing golf ?

If it's something in my capability, I may be able to do something.
