Hello HBGames!
I've been lurking in the shadows, replying to a few threads, and starting a few of my own for over a year. Most of my threads consist of 'omg how does you do dis in RGSS?!?!', so my apologies if I have pestered anyone.
A bit about myself to those who care:
I'm in my mid-30's and living in Houston, TX. I've been married for five years to a wonderful woman who helps me with Game Development. I love to read, write, design games, and practice marital arts and professional wrestling.
I believe in being polite, yet blunt and honest. I hate mincing words, outside of using metaphors and euphemisms to make a point. In that regard, I often come off as arrogant. My apologies in advance if I come off that way, as it is not my intention. However, I do not apologize for being who I am.
I am formally educated in Game Design at one of the better Universities in the country, with a previous background in Computer Science. I have also been ghost-writing for over three years and am currently revising my first manuscript. I hope to get published within the next two years (and believe me, getting published is the hardest part). In short, I know my shit.
I won't pretend that I am the end-all, beat-all Game Designer. I know how to make a good video game, and I learn from past mistakes. I have already released two games using RPGMaker 2003, and they did spectacularly well with a combination of well over 10k downloads. However, a good number of people hate my games and the way I design them. That's okay with me. No one makes something everyone loves. Even Walt Disney and Bill Gates have their detractors.
I came to HBGames because I want a place to trade ideas and work on my game projects openly. I also want to help out beginners to this, as we were ALL once newbies. I previously stayed at RPGMaker Network (RMN), but found the vocal majority's attitude to be as juvenile as it was absurd. I -despise- cliques of any kind. After a year of roaming the internet, I found HBGames to be the most open and friendly of all other places.
I hope to make friends here, design games, and get back into the Game Making community!

TL;DR Version: Hi! My name is Mayor Anime, from Houston, TX! I love to design games, want to get and receive help on projects, and look forward to messing around. I apologize if I come off as arrogant and offend you, but do not apologize for my view points and opinions. Peace!
