Logo Help! (Visual/Graphical Help)

Hi, i need some visual/graphical help here, but i cant find a place to post it so im posting it here =/ Please move this topic to the right place incase it is posted in the wrong section. Anyway, let me get to the point =P

I am in need of a logo to my game i am working on, and i've seen many workshops in the Visual Art Analysis, only problem is that all the Logo workshops are outdated and/or closed and i'd like to know how i make my own in the style they use.

Alright, to make it clear, All of them seem to be using the same program cause all of them are alike in style, visual and graphical. So please, help me!

Could someone please tell me how to do such ones?
Or if there is any tutorials around this forum that i am unaware of? Or maybe on another website? Please help me

Maybe you should learn to work in Photoshop,it is really powerful program for that kind of stuff.When you master him,you can do very amazing pictures.

Maybe NoNick uses that program...

Or you could just specify what kind of logo you'd like and someone would give it a try.
Just some details would work wonders (font, colour...)

They're mostly Photoshop tutorials, but Gimp is a free photoshop-esque program that can get you about the same results. Honestly, the examples you gave could be done in under 5 minutes by someone who is skilled in either program. If you can give me a better idea of what you're looking for, I could probably whip you something up real quick like.

Avgen, I would really recommend Gimp, if you are having problems acquiring a copy of Photoshop. Everything that PS can do can be done in Gimp, and its free!

Hell if you want to go to hell you could just visit certain places and get it, but, as I said, you would be looking at a long stint underground when judgement day comes! :devil:

This is true... But... If you're feeling sneaky I'ms ure you could find it online... Or if you have a really old version of photoshop adobe can update it for like 20 bucks I think... That's what I did, went from Photoshop 7 to CS3 :biggrin: I paid for it and the site gave me no problems about it.

IN my experience photoshop have been easier to use for these kind of things, and it often has had many many more tutorials, that are generally easy to understand... you can also do some more advanced stuff if you have the time and patience to sit and tweak things for hours at a time.

What happened to the good ol' days, where everyone would use MS Paint, there was none of this technological crap called Photoshop or GIMP...

But yeah, you should make a request in Akuma's thread (See Mustardy85's post), he also made the logo that's in his signature.
