Ok so I have a script that when you have an item and get killed you don't die and the item gets used. Well the problem is I made an event boss type guy and if you die with that item you go out of battle and the event disappears. What i need to happen is if you have the item you go out of battle but the event stays there how would I do that. I was thinking if I could just get the event to not go to the next page unless the "boss" battle is won. Is there a way to do that?
 
I think there's an error in "translation" here.
The boss is an actual event, correct?
Additionally, you have what happens when the battle ends, correct?
If I understand right, now, that item pulls you out of battle in case of death.
In that case, it appears it is an escape type...
I think the way it handles it is the problem, since it works for normal battles properly only.

Try asking the scripter to configure the item to work differently when a switch is on. Turn it on when a boss battle starts. What it will do not use it automatically but rather wait. Then have the battle have a losing clause (Battle Processing second checkbox Continue Even When Loser) which checks for the item. If you got it, it restarts the battle or asks if you want to use. If you don't - game over. If you simply don't have the item - game over.
This is the simplest it gets.
