Is there a way to make it so that you are required to have a license to use abilities provided by materia?
Here is an outline of what I have in mind:
Final Fantasy VII has something called the Materia system. Apparently I found a script for that. Materia equips on your equipment and adds abilities based on how they are paired. You use Ability Points to level up materia.
Final Fantasy XII has something called the license board. On it are licenses to use abilities, weapons, armor, etc. You must both own the ability/equipment and have its license to use it. You use License Points to purchase licenses on the license board.
for the project I am currently working on I would like it to work like this:
to use a skill, you need both the proper materia AND its license BOTH and the materia must be leveled up to the point where the ability is available.
