Legend of Dragoon Script

I've looked around quite a bit, and the most "Legend of Dragoon" battle system that I can find is one that I'd have to call a common event on every "troop" that I made. I'm looking for something really simple, like a flash that only lasts 5-10 frames at the end of an animation, then you have to hit the spacebar button, and you can do multiple attacks with a limit of 3-4 hits per person. I'd also like it if there were some way I could make it so that if you got all 4 hits, the character would do a special attack, but it isn't necessary if that would be too hard.

I would really appreciate it if I got some help with this.
