wondering if anyone would test and critque my game (the Lands of bastion)
yes i know its not a great game but i was wondering how i could improve and if anyone wanted to help that would be cool to  :thumb:
Ps.after you beat the bird boss thats it thats as far as i got  :dead: :dead: :dead:

Some features:
ff7 like menu
custom title menu
hp regeneration while defending
get to choose you class,gender and appearance

dosnt have a story line yet but ive been working on trying to make one for a month or so now
but so far:
you are a (insert class here) who is trying to become the greatest (insert class here) in all of bastion now matter what it takes.
along the way you must deafeat many tough adversary's and make friends along the way to help with you becoming the greatest (insert class here)

Your mapping looks actually pretty good, but I like to point a mistake. The bottom right of the cave, the wall bit is missing and there is a big crystal over where it should be. And that water coming from the top right corner just looks weird to me :S

thanks i will fix that and should i just do away with the water you think? i mean it's like a healing pool

Actually, it looks like you followed one of Willowidhe's tutorials off of Youtube.  While she's alright at beginner maps, she's not THAT great at mapping.

well do you know any good mapping tutorials cause i don't know how to map towns which would really help my game progress

This one by cos is pretty good, IMO, and there's also This one by Artbane is great for dungeon design.

Okay... The maps on there are sort of normal... Was There a story? I haven't played the demo yet, I just looked at your screenshot...
Anyways, check this out. http://neoseeker.com/forums/22121/t625807-rmxp-map-gallery-warning-not-56k-friendly. Although not a mapping tutorial per so, it has some seriously awesome maps that you can learn from and build on.
I myself still can't map towns at all, though, but I got really good at dungeon mapping.
Hint: Cluttered is good for rtp.
