Knight Of The Rose shows the epic tale of two brave warriors that saved their land and nation from complete destruction, challenging the gods themselves to rise against them.

This game is a MONSTERPIECE of mine, and has TONS of awesome features that make this game a one of a kind!

Year 10,000 BD.

When the world was still young, Aeldor, one of the greater Ancient Gods, was banished from their heavens, and became a Fallen Ancient. He took the rule of The Abyss, and started making his creations, then unleashed them upon the earth. Horrors have raged freely in the world of Sylvarrah, the beloved creation of the Ancient Gods.

Aeldor, together with his minions-Countless hordes of goblins, orcs, trolls, drows, and other creatures which their nature is dark, declared war against the ancient gods. In the head of his army, was the Bamiath, Aeldor's most horrible creation, a mighty titan, possesing powers almost equilevant to the ancients themselves. Aeldor rose the land of Tura from the depths of the ocean, and gave it to his minions, as a favour to them, yet also to give them something to fight for.

The war almost destroyed Sylvarrah, after the Bamiath was unleashed, raging, killing and destroying everything in its path.

Year 0 AD.

After seeing they will not be able to defeat Aeldor before the world will end, the Ancients were helpless. Giving it a last, huge, desperate effort, The ancient gods have rapidly casted an enormous spell. Unleashing unimaginable ammounts of energies, they have managed to seal Aeldor into three seals, one in the land of Tura, one in the land of Igaia, and the last one, which also contained the Bamiath, in Theltos. The Bamiath has fought the Ancients back, causing a disruption of the energies, which created a massive energy explosion, seperating Igaia and Theltos with a new ocean, The Adaar Ocean. The Ancients have lost most of their powers as a cause of the enormous powers they have unleashed, and were forced to leave Sylvarrah, yet they managed before to bury the seals under the bones of the world itself, thinking nobody will ever dare opening them.

Even the gods were proved wrong.

Year 265 AD.

Somewhere around the mines of Aegos, in the land of Igaia, a group of Orc slaves are assigned to work there.

In the depths of these mines, Arais, an Orc slave, just digs in the wrong place. He accidently breaks a small crack in the seal, and Aeldor is unleashed once again.
He takes control of Arais' mind, and gives him the rule of the Land Of Tura, where another seal is hidden, and then, after opening the seal, he raises the armies of Tura once again.

-Lots of massive army fighting.

-Tactical army command system (High possibility of using GubiD's TBS).

-Field surgery minigame, something like Dark Cut (Will contain blood, burns, cuts, major injuries and other similiar sick things).

-Blacksmithing system, with tons of cool options and graphics.

-Side-view Battle System (With individual animations).

-Visual Equipment System, also in the battle scene.

-Raging Steed minigame-You ride on a horse and cut everyone in your path.

-Pretty good mapping.

-Designing and building fortresses, fortifications, etc.

-Taking the role of the high command, means you take some of the decisions by yourself. Your choices will determine the fate of the war!

-Horse-riding system, with changeable speed, level and horses!

-Lots of level-up-able skills, such as riding, smithing, charisma, and swordsmastery!

-Lots of secret maps where you can find treasures and valuables.

-Faces shown at the message (Individual portraits!)

-Assumingly a quite big ammount of playable maps.

I mostly need SCRIPTERS and PIXEL ARTISTS, but all help is gratefully accepted. Do not expect a payment, this is a NON-COMMERCIAL project, so don't act surprised.
Don't be worried about time, schedule etc. , take your time.
Whoever wants to contribue WILL contribue.

The game is still in the middle of its developing, and it goes on REALLY slowly!

I desperately need help, mostly spriters and scripters are required, but all help will be accepted.

This will be interesting to play... Im the sort of person who likes "Machanics" of a game as opposed to the story.

and seeing this has intreeged me. :grin:
I might note be able to create Sprites rom scratch, but Im good at editing them.

I'm trying to make this game as realistic as possible (Yet with the fictional side of it), so this is the main reason for putting so many features. I also want this game to give the player a unique, worthwhile plying experience.

Is there any way to contact you externally? Skype, maybe? MSN?

I like the screenshots with the huge armies and battles. I always love those things in movies and games and history itself. I'm gonna try to do something alike in my game so i'm curious how you are working out those battles and marches.
 
Excellent question.
Infact, I did this because I like this kind of epic wars and huge army fighting too.

So, In the screen of the battle for Adel, there is no actual gameplay-It's just a cinematic. The bodies are put in the tileset picture itself, because as event they will just make the game stuck.

In big marches, convoys etc, I just make the events that get to the end of the map to go back to the start.
Also, lots of troops can be presented in a single characterset.

In actuall battles, I will be probably using GubiD's Tactical Battle System, as is has the most complex AI so far, and it additionally supports most of the scripts, and it's user friendly. I am going to make each commandable unit look like lots of tiny troops, which its HP represents the troop count. The strength of the units will be determined by gear, type (For example, archers VS cavalrly will be crushed with one successfull charge, yet spearsmen will probably be able to fend them off), morale, and positioning (Bonus for charging from a hilltop, handicap for cavalry while fighting in the woods, etc).

If you want to help, you'll be a lifesaver, because I'm flooded with the huge ammount of work with the game, as well as I have real life, and I am in high school so I am having a period with tons of tests, homework and other school shit.
 
I like what you are planning to do. be sure to take a look at exit fate, an rmxp game that has 2 different battle systems. One of them is pretty much what you are aiming for.

I cannot help you though, i have my own project that i'm already working on too much myself =/

Well, let's see here...

First I looked at your features.

You should probably take out "pretty good mapping", as only the players will know what they like and don't like.

I'm not impressed with you using the side-view battle system since 99% of all RM games use them. You also spelled some words wrong, or had a few typos:
"-Lots of secred maps where you can find treasures and valuables." You should change the "d" in Secred to a "t". Just helping the feature section to look better. ^_^;

I can't really comment on your maps, because I suck at mapping - but I can say that the 2nd one kind of looks repetitive with all those helmets. The one showing a house (3rd from bottom) looks kind of plain to me, though I'm not sure how to fix it.

Do know what kind of faces you are using? I don't want my gut feeling of "face-maker" to be right. :/

I didn't read your story because I'm not the most creative person in the world, and I can't tell what's cliche or original. Though, I caught your main villain's name and think you should change it and make your own name up. :X

I didn't see a character section, though. Are there set characters, or do you make one and/or all of them?

I might play it, but I downloaded a lot of RM games lately and haven't even touched them. That's just me not being my usual gamer-self.

First of all, yeah I will be using the side-view battle system, with individual animations, but additionally I will use GTBS significantly.
Second, thanks for noting the typing errors, I will fix them.
The faces will be portraits which I will draw (I'm pretty good at drawing).
The names are now rewritten, thanks for noting.
The characters are set with their very own personality and properties.

Lastly, I would be happy if you played it, yet it's up to you :)

Interested to see how the mass army system is going to work. I've been playing Total War games recently, so I like massive-scale destruction. Looks good so far 8D

I'm planning on using GubiD's TBS, and making the charsets to look like units with lots of really tiny soldiers. I really don't know how will the attack animation look like, though.
