Kittens. They're adorable.

Hey everybody! HBGames seems to be one of the most developed and mature communities that still has a strong RM series userbase, so I decided I'd actually sign up today.

I've been lurking around the RM community for ten years now (which I didn't realize until I just counted 'em up... whoa). I was formerly known as RedXIII or Nanaki at various other sites, but this is my handle everywhere else, so I decided I ought to be consistent. I have never actually completed a game or even released a demo, and I tend to take long breaks from game dev during the university year, but my resolution for 2012 is to get a demo of something out by summer and release a full game by the end of the year. I'm toying around with a couple of ideas, but I'm mostly interested in creating an RPG with puzzle-based combat, set in a fantasy world that draws from the German fairy tale tradition.

I'm looking to get into games in some capacity once I finish college, which is why it's just become a lot more important to me to actually get my butt into gear so that I might be able to put together something that looks like a portfolio. While it may not end up being my full-time job, I hope that someone might pay me some pocket change for creating or reviewing games at some point in my adult life. That would be pretty cool.

Also, look at this baby sand kitten. Awwww.

That kitten is adorable! Also, welcome to the site. Glad you finally decided to sign up! :) Yeah, the userbase here is older on average than most other RM sites.

Welcome! I think I remember a RedXIII on other rm-communities. Looking forward to your project as I like norse and german mythology stuff.

Hi there! RPG + puzzles + mythology sound like my cup of tea :) looking forward to trying a demo or two. Hope you find our forums useful and fun!

And I must agree, while most internet lolcats are repulsive, that kitten there is genuinely adorable. A little sad, too, or perhaps frightened, but cute nonetheless.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!

Regi, your Scavenger demo looks incredibly enticing at the moment. Will have to use it as the dangling carrot on a stick... will grab it when I finish a good chunk of the paper I'm working on at the moment.

Thank you for viewing
