Alright, I just finished KH2:FM+, and got the secret ending today....and it's GORGEOUS just to watch. First, here's a good quality video of it (Major spoilers I guess, since it's hard to obtain)

Anyways, I have a few theories, but I'm just gonna burden you guys with one of them.


First off, the old man. I believe this may be the Xehanort's old master. Not only because the man looks old, but because the game is supposingly set BEFORE the first KH. Another reason I believe he's connected to Xehanort is because of his clothing. His heartless ("Ansem" from the first game and CoM) wears the same exact clothing, which may be where Xehanort's heartless got it's look.


Next, the knight who's face is revealed last. I believe that this is Xehanort, when he was younger. Not only does he have the same hairstyle (albeit shorter), if you look at his eyes, they change from blue to orange, showing that he may be similar to Riku as in he has control of darkness even though he's not a heartless.

Next, the biggest issue, the frozen knight. He looks exactly like Roxas. As in same EVERYTHING.....um....I really don't have a theory for this yet, I still need more info. I've heard some theories that say it's in fact Vexen's old persona, though I'm unsure at the moment. But one thing you have to remember is that looks can be deceiving. If you remember Deep Dive and Another Side, Another Story, Roxas, in fact, looked like Riku during these movies, but turned out looking different.


And last but not least, the completely new character with blue hair. Again, no real theories, though I have one if it's a boy. I'm thinking that it may be Saix, again, younger. I say this, mainly because it would simply fit. Xemnas and Saix were both part of the founding members of Organization XIII, along with Marluxia, Vexen, and I believe Xigbar(Not entirely sure about the last one, but I know for a fact that the other 4 were in there since the beginning.) Then again, if it's a girl, I'm back to square one here.

Speaking of which, does anyone know how I can get a copy of KH2:FM+ ? It was supposed to come out at the end of last month, but none of my local video game stores (Hollywood Video, Gamestop, etc.) know anything about it.

As I posted before, I'm fairly positive the blue-haired character is a girl. Watch the original KH2 secret ending, she's certainly built like one.

And I, for one, am sick of female characters in KH that are good for nothing in combat. Seriously, all the female Chaser does is use one defensive spell and look really upset a lot.

Also, Saix and Marluxia were not founding members of the Organization, they were recruited later.

Well, you never know. Japan is known for gender ambiguity...:-/


And not all female characters in KH were good for nothing....Larxene at least was kick ass. (And the fight with her in KH:FM+ is hard as hell too....Marluxia is actually EASIER then her. And Marluxia is ironically stronger than Xemnas)

And thanks for that info, I didn't know for a fact since I sold my NA KHII. Couldn't double check.


Also, another theory I have is that the three knights are siblings, and the bald headed guy is their dad....though I'm starting to dismiss that theory due to the fact that Tetsuya Nomura has to add a sappy love relationship, and even he isn't up for the brother-sister thing.

Okay, okay. Time to get in.

First of all, the KH game will NOT be named KH3. It'll have a different name according to one of Nomura's interview.

First off, the old man. I believe this may be the Xehanort's old master. Not only because the man looks old, but because the game is supposingly set BEFORE the first KH. Another reason I believe he's connected to Xehanort is because of his clothing. His heartless ("Ansem" from the first game and CoM) wears the same exact clothing, which may be where Xehanort's heartless got it's look.

I really don't think it's his former master. You noticed a good thing : the clothes. They were the same clothes so you could think it's either because :
1) they're the same person
2) they're both member of some group or whatever.
I personally would choose the 1 option because the clothes haven't got any uniform-ish look at all. One other thing's that the heartless looking like things he splits into uses Ice and Thunder spells and the Blad Man uses Wind and Earth. Reminds you something? Those are the four elements Xehanort's hearless uses against you when you fight him in KH1.
Also, it's ridiculous to think that two different people would wear the same clothes unless they're uniforms or unless one of the person is cosplaying the other. (I don't think Xehanort would cosplay anyone XD).
I think that it's Xehanort somehow, but again we don't really know enough yet.

Next, the knight who I think he's Xehanort.

Well, he's the most discussed one. Some says he's the original Saix, some others says that it's the original Xehanort. I've also heard about a few others theories but they're not convicing. The fact is that we actually really don't know who he is.
But there's an important thing to notice : When the Bald Men summons Kingdom Hearts (transforming his keyblade into an energy ball) and the Brown Haired Knight looks at it, his eyes starts glowing and their color turn to orange. (Xemnas and Saix have orange eyes, the Blad Man too...)
Also, he's the knight we can fight in the game.

Okay, you're right. I've compared the pics I took from the video and pics of Roxas and he indeed looks exactly like him (even the hair spikes are at the same place and in the same way).
But that doesn't mean it's him. Remember that Nomura said in one of his interviews that almost all the characters had little to no connection to the previous characters. And also, remember that it's supposed to happen in the past (and Roxas was born at the end of KH1).
Now, I've heard that he might've been Sora's father and the blue Haired girl/knight Riku's mother.
Again, it's just theories, we can't know for sure, but look at the bottom of the topic, there's something interesting there.

And last but not least, the completely new character with blue hair.

Well, they're all said to be new character...
In one of the new Final Mix scenes, Xemnas talks about two knights named Ven and Aqua.
Now, a little language study :
Ven is the short for Ventulus (latin) which means Wind/Breeze.
Aqua (latin) means Water.
Sora (japanese) means Sky.
Kairi (japanese) means Sea.
Riku (japanese) means Land.

So we could think that the Roxas looking knight's called Ven because he looks like Roxas (who's Sora) and that the meaning of Sora's and his name are pretty close to each other.

The Blue haired knight would be then Aqua because she's got blue hair (duh) and because she's a girl and the other girl of the game's name (Kairi) would have the same meaning as the knight.

Finally, the lating for earth is Terra so we could think that the third knight would be called that way (or another name which would represent the earth. NOT gaia because it's greek and it's a female name).


One other theory is that those characters are what are one other part of what is created when a heart is separated from his body (Heartlesses-Nobodies and them?). They've been given the name of Endlesses.

And the last theory (the one that makes actually sense to me) :
What we see in the video would just be the lost memories of Xehanort or something he's imaginating. According to what we know now, Xehanort's trying to recover his memory, all that happened before he got found in the Radient Garden.


I've heard other funky things but I don't think it's worth to mention them.

There's no telling that these are the main characters - Deep Dive was about Roxas and Riku, neither of whom were the main character of KHII and only one of which was (breifly) playable. For all we know, the three are actually villains or NPCs.

Well, Nomura said that in the next game Sora wouldn't be the main hero...

In the same interview you mentioned, Nomura said that the characters in the video are characters we've never seen before. Saix is not one of them. The guy who looks like Roxas is NOT Roxas (as has been said, thankfully.) The blue haired one is certainly female, you know, breasts and everything.

As for it not being called Kingdom Hearts III, I think people are reading too much into that statement, going so far as to think there is going to be some major departure and the Disney part is being cut out and that the two series will be completely unrelated. This is baseless. What he's getting at by saying it won't be Kingdom Hearts 3 is that this new game is not really a sequal to the second one the same way the second one was to a first. This is a new story with new characters and a new plot thread, but it will likely have common areas, themes, gameplay, and I would be shocked - SHOCKED if Donald and Mickey were not somehow integral to the gameplay. It will probably still be called Kingdom Hearts, in fact. Just not Kingdom Hearts 3.

You think, since this is supposedly in the past, we might get to see some FF worlds or something? Or see Cloud, or Squall, before their planets went BOOM? Or at least, didn't Squall's? I forget. It would be awesome, because then we could get Squall's companions some loving!

Sadly we'll be waiting a billion years for this. Why dont they just release FM+ in the mean time? I mean, if we have to wait a while, at least give us something to keep us going till then! Dang bastards teasing us with this stuff... *grumble grumble*

Most of all, I want to know about the Roxas look-a-like! =D

didn't all the FF characters said they were coming from the Radient Garden?
(except Tidus Wakka and Selphie who're living on destiny islands).

But maybe there will be appearence of KH characters in FF versus XIII?
You know, characters like Xehanort or the knights?
I know it sounds really stupid but think of it :
FF VERSUS XIII. the XIII order, the 13 worlds of Kingdom Hearts, the 13 Ansem Reports, etc...
Nomura said it's something we'd never except and he's currently working on FF13 so...

BTW, I'm not crazy, I believe in what I just said as much as you do, but unless someone has proof it's not true, we can't be sure...


Also, they didn't release the FM outside of Japan so why would they bother doing it for this one...

Yeah, this is NOTHING like KH:FM. Not only are the worlds redone for the most part, new abilities, new form, fights with the org members, special treats for playing through Re:CoM, new weapons, lots of new scenes that were left out and even a battle against Roxas, one of the Knights, new secret ending that is AMAZING *breathes in heavily* but the mere fact of Re:CoM being packed with it, puts it on a COMPLETELY different level.

KH:FM was basically the english version with a longer secret ending, a new secret boss and some new items and techs. Not much really added.

So I say the odds are great. Even if Squeenix keeps saying no. And they'll find that their lack of acknowledging the BIGGEST source for their games will kick them in the arse soon enough. I mean, every KH but 2 sold twice as many in America than it did in Japan. KH2 did sell more here than in Japan, just not twice as many. And most copies of FM+ sold in Japan, are probably imports. No definate facts on that; but with how many people I hear have imported the game, i'd say a good majority of the ones sold in Japan were imported to America or Europe.

Squeenix sure likes to give us 20 remakes of FF1&2, but they dont want to give us KH2:FM+? Doesnt sound right to me. I think they are just going to suprise us at the upcoming event in May. I believe it was...

Well, the extra scenes I refer to are more like important ones. Like, things that add a level of depth that wasnt there before. And from my understanding, they did so in this with extra scenes and stuff of Roxas and Axel and the battle against Roxas and Riku or something. Because personally, i felt Roxas' story was underplayed. It had a lot of potential and a lot that could be done with it, but they cut it short, you could say.

Am i making ANY sense? Haha...

I saw on IGN that the third installment would be called "Kingdom Hearts X". Not sure if that's the definite title... Most likely not though... Oh, and it's rumored on a few sites that Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix + has been scheduled for NA release. There is no date as of now, but I heard it should be around Fall of '07.
