A lot of you might know, but Killzone 2 came out in the United States on Friday. This is a First Person Shooter made exclusively for the PS3. 360 fanboys need not apply.

I managed to get my hands on a copy today, and.. let me tell you. Killzone 2 is simply amazing. Everything about it just screams perfection, from the story mode, to the graphics, all the way to the multiplayer. My only gripe about the game comes with that right analog stick.. If you've read any reviews about the game, you've probably noticed how everyone says the controls feel clunky, and.. yes they do. Sometimes it wants to look super fast, and other times it slows down so bad you end up not turning at your enemy in time and you die. However, that does not overshadow how simply amazing this game is. I only played the story for the first 4 levels before I got pissed from dying (since I'm playing it on the hardest difficulty you can by default), and went on to play the multiplayer.
The graphics are absolutely top-notch. There is nothing they could have done better to improve them. The view distance (how far away you can see things) is absolutely insane, all thanks to the power of the PS3 and blu-ray disk.
The multiplayer is just simply amazing. The levels are basically huge, with the exception of a few small ones, which create insane killing sprees in a 16v16 player match. Being that the levels are huge, you will have to do some running before you get to the action, unless you're in a defend game mode, which brings me to my next thing. The game mode, called Warzone, is basically every mode in one; you've got Assassination, Search & Destroy, Body Count, Propaganda and Control (don't remember the real name). The game starts with a randomly chosen mode, then seamlessly swaps to a new one if the condition is met, or if time runs out for that mode. Assassination, also known as VIP, you have to kill a specific person before time is up to win the round. Search & Destroy is where you have to either defend your base, or destroy the enemy's base. Body Count is simple Team Deathmatch, but whoever wins in the allotted time gets the win for that round. Propaganda is basically a capture the flag type game, where you have to go pick up some random piece of Propaganda and take it to a randomly chosen location, whoever takes it back the most wins. Control is where you have to take control of 3 locations and hold them till the timer fills, or if time runs out. The fact that they put all the game modes in one really makes this game refreshing. No more having to leave the map or change the game mode just cause you feel like a capture the flag type game.
Anyone else get this game? I'm up this late (2am) playing it when I need to get up early tomorrow.. it's going to control my life. :fap:
