KDE 4.1 General Discussion

Hey, I just upgraded to (K)ubuntu 8.10 w/ KDE 4.1 and the new look & feel, as well as the new Adept 3 and the nifty Vista-like widgets are great. For anyone else making the transition, there are some major differences from KDE 3, and rather than creating a bunch of topics about it (lulz, as if the forum is overflowing with linux users), let's keep any and all discussion here in this thread.

For starters, anyone have any success/issues with getting dual monitors working using the nVidia proprietary drivers? I can get X to load in the second monitor, but the window manager (KDE) is not using it, so it's just an empty screen with the default X cursor (which really takes me back, but that's another story).

I ran 4 a while back before final. It's a pretty nifty windows manager, graphically appealing (more so than Gnome), but in the end, I came back to Gnome.

Oh, my bad, yes I mean KDE 4.1 on Kubuntu 8.10, I'll update the first post. That's what I get for posting while tired and distracted.

@Cocoa: 4.1 is a substantial upgrade from 4.0 & the prerelease versions. I've never been a fan of Gnome, but then I prefer the Windows-style of KDE and have always despised Mac's approach so there's that.
