Okay, so lately I've gotten very much into spriting, figured I'd start one of these instead of making a hundred little topics. I'm still very new, so please feel free to give constructive criticism. Also, please don't use any of these until I put them in the bottom section, rather not have unfinished sprites floating around.

This is just for my sprite-based stuff, Battlers/monsters still go in my other topic.

Thanks to a little PA assignment...I am completely obsessed with spriting trees. I've been doing some sketches for tree types and am going to be spriting them up over the next few weeks. Hopefully I'll make both RTP and HK style for each.

Live Oak, want to make it with leaves, without and with spanish moss.

Tree-03.jpg

Dead Sycamore, these things are all over the place in the marshes around here. They look so cool.

Uh..generic (possibly flowering) tree. Was kinda playing around on this one.

River Birch!! Making a summer, fall and winter version I think.

I plan on making a Marsh tileset (not swamp), so I needed a long marshgrass autotile. Working on one using an RTP tile. Still gotta fix those corners.

Practice work on a character for my next game way down the road. Her character Illustration is Here.

Did this to help out someone on the mapping improvement thread, some tiles for underground water sources, made to match a few tilesets: 1: Generic water autotile 2: Water Cave 3: Mine 4: Sewer.

And a small tile of the sewer grate without water, also by request:

I must say, I am a big fan of your work, Joy. And, that Siobhan character looks fantastic as well. =)

Keep up the good work.

I agree, you have such really good work here, and I'm really surprised no one else but Jack has commented on all this!

I love the idea of the Marsh TS, and I'm really looking forward to seeing those trees as well. More RTP trees... I'm practically drooling. ^^ All I can say is, good luck and keep going!

Nothing to show on those trees yet, first need to finish a tileset for my game. Needed a early Victorian/Industrial revolution style city. Important that it looks good, is easy on the eyes and plays well, because many game hours are spent in it.

Based off of Church RTP, then heavily recolored, edited and spliced. New cutom bits include: Iron fencing, roof embellishments (still being shaded) and too many edits to list.

I would very much like some ideas of city fixtures to have. Like I said, early Victorian era, steam power and machinery is starting to come into strong favor. The city itself is the capitol of a senate run govornment which used to be a Monarchy. This city is a hub for new technology, trade and religion, and it's residents have a good deal of money to throw around. Some of the civic features incluse: Plumbing and sewers, canals throughout major trade areas of the city with steam powered water gates and pumps, gas-powered streetlights, numerous gated parks, several areas for entertainment (theatre, orchestra hall, botanical and zoological gardens), the city is also sectioned into districts.

Fixtures already planned:
Sewer drains, grates and manholes
Wrought Iron Benches, cafe tables and seating
Cloth awnings
Trash Cans
New doors
Completely impractical but the nobles love it, a steam clocktower
New shop signs: Haberdashery, Tailors, Baker, Cobbler and Jewlers

Any suggestions would be -most- apreciated!

Okay, have some progress on that Victorian tileset. Edited a lot from the rtp bridge and castle tileset, franken-sprited some flower boxes, set up new autotiles and created a new custom bench.

Feedback is apreciated.

these are simply amazing i wish i had a spriter/artist such as you helping me out for my game, that would be awesome. keep up the great work cant wait to see more from you

The grass needs to be darker, as it doesn't suit the rest of the tileset at the moment. It looks better than most tilesets i've seen, though. Good RTP edit.

For the Victorian set, the steps are supposed to be under the door correct? (I guess for a certain effect) Just seems a bit..off if you get what I mean, everything else looks great though.

Okay, due to me being a detail freak. I've decided to make my main project HK, so I've been doing some spriting on said template. So far I'm working on a character from the game, Meghan. This is only my second attempt at spriting hair from scratch, so please be kind in your c&c, but still give it!

Still need to sprite her ribbon and the base of her hair in the back view, and shade the right facing side view.

Besides the fact that she looks kinda bald in the last row, it looks nice. Though, the way you have her hair swinging in the first row makes me think it would move more on the sides. But I'm not good at spriting hair, so maybe it's fine. :X

Um, I think it was kinda bald in the last row. They look great joy. Keep up the good work, youre a great sprite artists, dare I say amazing?
