Joy's Original Monster Battler Den

For ASW I'll be doing all of my own Battlers and Monsters. Since it'd be a shame to keep them to myself, I'll post all of them here as I get them done. All are hand drawn and photoshop colored by me...because of this...

Please credit Joy Mason if you use any of these monsters.

I'll be working on having a complete set of monsters, elementals, bosses and some human foes. I'm aiming to have at least 40 unique starters and anywhere from 30-60 recolors and edits of those bases. If you have something you need for your game, do mot hesitate to suggest it. If it fits in with what I need for ASW, I'll try to get it done sooner for you.

These are very nicely done. I'm completely jealous of your photoshop skills. I can draw by hand but my skills end there as far as getting it into a monster battler. Maybe someday I'll figure it out. It's cool of you to share too.

Very, very good! One suggestion, what about making the wings on the hornet semi-transparent? It's just a thought, but it's what I immediately thought of when I saw it.

These are great. I hope you succeed in creating a full pack, it would be nice to see a new style being used in the default battle system. May I suggest when it comes to making the elementals to have male and female variations, enterbrain were a little sexist.

Can't wait till you post more, I'll be ready to pounce if you ever take requests =P

I think the hornet looks good without the transparent wings though.

You know, if you can do spriting, you should sprite your own RTP style sprites of your battlers, these are magnificent!

Great job Joy, everyone seems to really like your battlers, including me I luv the style! I'm thinking about giving a few monster battlers a go in photoshop as well, but i'll be lucky if they turn out half as good as this. I see your working on a game too. I'll have to go check that out, keep up the good work!

Been working on some tilesets and addons lately. I plan on coloring a couple I have inked sometime soon.

Okay! After quite some time, I have time to work on these again. Today I bring you offerings of snakes!! I still plan on doing another version with a scale pattern, so expect that eventualy.

These are really, super good. I love the details, though that makes them not seem to go very well with the RTP (though, they don't look bad being used together). The snakes are my favorite. <3
