Is my animation good?

The body doesn't move. Make his legs bent or something.

Oh and the "flapping" of the wings looks strange, as if he was retreating.

Mmm, I dunno about the legs... it's kind of hard to percieve something that wouldn't happen in real life. I've been pondering over that for a while. About the wings, I don't know how to fix that... he's not going any where, obviously.

It is pretty good , but I think you should fix it to make it look more like 'animated'
I think RTP winged characters are good example ,though.

This pose looks unrealistic, all you've done is add animated wings to a single sprite... Try changing the pose on your sprite to look like he's off ground, not just hoping

1. He's lacking feet.
2. The wings don't flap with intent. (ie, they don't look like they're trying to get "lift" on the down flap). They need to be flat when moving down and m shaped when moving up.
3. Move him on the horizontal plain as well as the vertical.

4. "Iz mai animation good?" Don't use chat speak here. It's looked down upon.

Keep working :)

No, it's not. Aside from the wings, the sprite is horribly shaded, resplendent with jaggies, etc...
Tell me, did you make those wings? The style is completely at odds with the rest of the sprite, and there are a few stray pixels that you missed.

Yes, I did make those wings. I noticed the few stray pixels when I imported it into RMXP, I planned on fixing it up once the entire animation sheet was finished. With the shading, I think was leaning towards a more cel-shaded style, like a dolt (slaps self).
Resplendent with jagged edges... mmm, ok, I'll try to fix it.

Its because you have the up-down backwards. When his wings are fully out above his head, it needs to be lower, and when it flaps, It needs to go higher. And bend the legs.

About the frames, I could add more but then I'd have to edit my animated battle system, which is already being screwy.
Ahh! I understand what you're saying, Cheeze! I'll do my best to improve that aspect :).

the problem is that his wings bend at too many points and as a result look like they're made of pipecleaners. the wings bend at the base (the "shoulder") and the "elbow" thing halfway down.

another issue is that the motion is really awkward and unrealistic. if someone is trying to stay airborne with a pair of wings tilted at that angle, they're not going to bend around to the front like that because that would send them flying backwards. an less exaggerated up-and-down flapping motion would look a lot better; that sprite 006 posted is a good example. making the wings a little smaller certainly wouldn't hurt, either.
