I always found E3 to be nothing more than a developer circle jerk but good information is usually put out at E3 (like the Spore videos from last year). I guess developers just don't care about advertising much anymore but we've still got TGS to lok forward too every 3rd quarter.
Big business killed E3
Oh well. I mean, I think they should just continue sans the "giants" concered only with the bottom line, plenty of other companies would Im sure still want to continue it.

Actually this year seemed like the only hugely "hollywood" year, like normal news and such was talking about it. It NEVER got as much coverage as it did this year, so I dont know what those companies are thinkin. I think maybe Sony was just embarrased by their mediocre showing and dont want such obvious side by side comparisons anymore.
I think I'm just still angry over the past 2 years. I hate whenever a new console comes out because all the companies are trying to advertise but there's never really any worthwhile information that's put out except MASSIVE HYPE (like, hype to the point where it makes me vomit a little). Last year the PS3 was sounding pretty good but now I don't even want to look at it.
...Which is why they dont want to involve theirselves in E3 anymore
Cus you see the games we're supposed to like next to games we've never heard of and find ourselves asking "why the hell is Halo the killer ap again? Why are they selling them in 7-11s? What makes the PS3 worth two Wiis?"
Aww, i just learned i can watch E3 on the net this year *so out of the circle sometimes...*. All those years wasted! Phooey! Now I'll never get the chance to watch it again... haha.
E3 is good for the little guys too, you know. People with good games get good coverage, whether they have flashy shows or not. Also, it seemed pretty damn good for Nintendo this year.
If they just let normal people in and charge them money, then they wouldn't have a budget problem nor would companies need to pay so much. gamers will pay $200 a day to get in.
TGS has the same rock concert like atmosphere but it doesn't have financial problems.
And honestly, I'm not watching E3 for hours on end if it looks like a theropy building like GDC. I'd just read a litlle post about it. It is the atmosphere that keeps it from getting boring. I don't care what game is being shown. I will not look at horrible slightly off white walls for hours.
