Invisible Children: Child Soldiers [Read This!]

In the spring of 2003, three young filmmakers traveled to Africa in search of a story. What started of as a filmmaking adventure, grew into something much bigger! These southern California boys discovered a tragedy that disgusted and inspired them, a tragedy where children are both the weapons and the victims.
When they returned to the States, they put together a documentary called "Invisible Children: Rough Cut". It exposes the tragedy of Uganda's child soldiers.
Thousands of children flee their homes nightly in order to escape being abducted by the LRA(Lord's resistance Army). Children in Uganda are regularly abducted by these rebel soldiers to be trained as child soldiers. The children who run from their homes walk miles, often to cities like Gulu, to find shelter in hospitals or bus parks - virtually anywhere far away from rebel camps.
The film was originally shown to friends and family, but has now been seen by millions of people. The overwhelming response has been, "How can I help?" To answer this question, the non-profit Invisible Children, Inc. was created, giving compassionate individuals an effective way to respond to the situation. The goal is to create awareness regarding the plight of the people of Northern Uganda, caught in the midst of a civil war between the government and Joseph Kony's Lord's Resistance Army, a rebel group that makes extensive use of kidnapping children and making child soldiers.

I just recently found out about this information, and i think that we have to do something, anything about this!  Here is a link to the very same documentary that i was talking about. Please just watch the movie, and i promise that you will be changed forever!

When you have watched the documentary and want to help, and i can garantee you that you want to, then visit the Invisible Children website and read more about the organisation and how you can help these children in Uganda. And also,  you should really buy the documentary at their website, sense the money goes to the very same children that where in this movie!

I have also created my own forum for Invisible Children. and the meaning of the forum is to have a place where people can meet, and talk about Invisible Children, share their feelings and ideas on how to raise more money for the organisation and how to help these children. If you are intrested and/or have any ideas on how to raise money, here is the link to the forum:

I removed the URL to the forum from your post because we have a rule against advertising here, but the rest of the message is solid.

I can honestly say that this was the first time I actually cried while watching a video. This documentry was the first one that actually showed how desperate the situation is over there and how our country as a whole is disregarding it because the Iraq War is apparently more important.

I'll watch it in the morning; the cause sounds very serious and responsible. I wish you the best of luck in helping to spread the message. I look forward to having my life changed (with all seriousness).

As disgusting as this is, last time I checked we here in the USA weren't the World Police.  We do what we can here and there is only so much we can do.  This message should go out to the world so that everyone can see these atrocities and do their part.  There are many global powers that merely sit on their hands and watch the world die.  (Looking at you France, Russia, China)  There are many countries that do nothing to stop this and until they do, this is what we'll be seeing.
