Introduction/Cinematic? (Actual Video)

Is there any possible way to include a video in the opening cinematic of the game or at any other point throughout the game? I'm not thinking of putting any sort of live action video, or anime into the game... what I would like to do is take various played scenes of my game and mix them up into a video with some music. It would be kinda like a preview or a trailer that you see before you play just about any video game on the market.

Can it be done?

Yeah, it can be done. You just need the correct tools and programs on the computer. I've seen videos of people's games everywhere. XD

I just made a video of my game the other day. If you're having trouble finding the right stuff, you can just ask people who have done it and perhaps they will help you out. ^_^

Actually, they were talking about playing a video file in the game itself, which is much more difficult.

Anyway, there are several scripts out there to do that. The most reliable script out there for this is one that acts as an in-game flash player, which means that you'll have to use something like the Super Video Converter (which is free) to convert your video into a .flv file.

You will also want to use a skip title screen script to go with it.

As said before, you're going to need a few things to do this.

Doing a quick search, I found this script, which should do everything you need to do.
