Hello! Figured it'd be in my best interest to introduce myself before I post a plethora of help topics (which I know I will probably post once I get knee deep in a casual project! :lol
. Anyways, I'm just a regular guy that grew up on Square's excellent SNES RPG's just looking to create a small RPG project that perhaps only a small audience will ever see. I already have VX and was just wondering how big a difference will a finished product in VX compare to a finished product in XP? I've been reading around the forums how XP is better but just how much better is it?
Also, any tips or helpful links that might help me hit the ground running are appreciated! (perhaps a link that leads to a page with a complete list of useful scripts :wink

EDIT(after reading the rules!): I have been messing around with VX for about a week now and got the basics down pretty well, or at least I think I do. Messed around with various scripts that people have posted (SVBS is really nice!) but my knowledge of scripting itself is pretty much nil. At the moment, I have no real field of expertise as I have just begun using the program but I would like to think I'm a good story writer :grin:. I suppose everyone thinks that about themselves, though :down:. As I said before, though, I love the old school SNES RPG's like FF6 and Chrono Trigger! I like a lot of newer RPG's as well (FF10 I thought was really good). I also hear good things about this XBox 360 RPG, Lost Odyssey, but I'm not looking forward to dropping 400 bucks for the console :sad:. Well! Enough of my ranting!
