There must be some way to smoothly, easily allow players to change their party in-game at certain points without a custom script that specifically does that, but I can't figure it out on my own. Any advice?
I've played some games that use a base or camp where all the extras hang out. You go up to the the character you want. It asks "Do you want THIS person to join?" and if your party is full it asks "who will leave?". The game removes the selected character first then adds THIS person.
Pretty simple to do with events and you don't have to worry about menu systems and script compatibility.
