In game message with ruby.

I am looking for in game messages, just like when characters talk to each other. I have gotten ruby to to print to windows xp, but no luck in game. Any help on that would be amazing. I need to have people speak with variables as strings, because it is WAY too may combination's for if statements. Thanks a ton!

Not quite sure I get what you're aiming at, but you can set the value of a game variable to a string, then use \V[n] to print the string.

$game_variables[1] = "Hello World"

Thats cool. Didn't know that I could do that. I thought game variables were numbers only even in ruby. Good tip. That ls a ton. I'll try it out and get back to you!


Edit: tried it. Worked as well as It would have in ruby. I still wish I could program a game with no point and click coding with this, but it will work for now. Thanks a ton!
