Implementing Scripts

Ok, I've done a fair amount of searching and I didn't find an answer to this question, so here it is. I need to know how to implement the scripts I've found on these forums; for example this one.
If there are already instructions about this somewhere I apologize but I couldn't find any. Honestly, this has got me completely baffled, so if you could help me out with this I'd appreciate it.

i once had that problem and people thought I was stupid. Go to script section insert a new script above main and paste the code in that script

~ Open script editor (button next to test play I believe, or one of the F keys)
~ Scroll down to the portion named "Main"
~ Click on it and press insert
~ Copy and paste script

Most scripts do require a bit more, but that's essientially how to "add a script"

Ok, that answers my question about how to add new ones well enough, but what about the one I linked to? The code seems to be a modification of Sprite_Battler and other parts, but when I copy and paste it the game crashes when I try to run it. Thanks for the help so far. Also, if asking in that script's own topic would be a better way to go I'll do that.
