Hello everyone, Diaforetikos here inviting all digital artists to my new art group called WorkInProgress. Your probably wondering what WorkInProgress is, so I'll use some questions that I thought would help give a general idea about it.
(Q1)What is WorkInProgress?
-WorkInProgress is a forum based group that meets about once a week to discuss their art, give critiques, show off new tutorials, and give the sense of friendly competition between artists.
(Q2)Will WorkInProgress take me away from RMXP.org?
-Not at all. This is a side forum where artists can meet without distraction. I will still be plenty active on RMXP.org. I hope the members do the same.
(Q3)Where did this idea come from?
-I could never find a art group to join that would give me all the options that mentioned above(Q1). I also wanted to find dedicated people that would help me improve as they improve. Art groups are a necessity if you plan on making art a career so it was obvious that I needed to make my own. I also wanted other artists to have a place to go where we know one another and aren't worried about a little constructive criticism to help them improve.
(Q4)How do you join WorkInProgress?
-Just PM me and your pretty much in. As long as you have a tablet, Photoshop or some form of drawing program that supports tablet sensitivity.
(Q5)What are some basic things that we will be on the WorkInProgress forum?
-Everyone will get their own topic page to post their work. We will have a weekly challenge(if I can get enough people to participate in that). And we will meet once a week in the critique section to give our thoughts on everyone's newest pieces.
I hope this answered a lot of your questions. I will be updating this page with more information as I progress. I'm still working on the forum, I just want to get a list of how many people want to join.
