Been trying to request some things and no one ever replies and helps me out for like, months, now...I was actually hoping to start working on my game again and actually finish it. Yeah, the only people that I can think of that actually helped me out a bit was you with the party changing scripts, although it didn't work out well...and Coyotercraft (sp?) for creating a character for my game (centipede lives). I thank both of you...

We will NEVER delete your account.
We would ban it if you were actually a problem, but never delete an account.

Lots of people request things.
Sometimes no one wants to help.  Sometimes no one can help.  Sometimes the request is just wrong for the people who would help, the list goes on.

Sorry to see you go, man. You were one of those members who used to be SERIOUSLY annoying but more recently you've toned down a bit.

I'm especially disappointed that you're leaving because your requests weren't filled. That's a bit immature, to say the least. Maybe your requests would be more likely to be filled if you were a more active and helpful member in general?

A lot of people don't seem to get that -- the more active you are, the more well-known your name is, the more likely it is that people will take your requests.

For the record, I helped you out with the Audio bit, then provided an alternative to the Cracked Screen function.
I also created an algorithm for the "Fly off the screen" thing, I just didn't / don't have time to do the coding.
To get an appreciation for what you were asking for, let's do a quick estimate...
8 hrs (a conservative estimate) * $40/hr (also conservative) = $320

Not to mention that in the 6 months+ that you were bumping that topic, you could have learned RGSS.

I looked through your posts (to avoid putting my foot in my mouth), and guess what I found?
almost 800 posts in a year & a half, and guess how many times you helped someone else?

As I can see, people were helping you most of the time. The exception is your "Ultimate Script Request".

You know, when I started in 2005, i was the kind of member who took a bunch of cool scripts to put in my game and I was also requesting a lot.
To make a long story short, i was tired to wait for someone to reply and started to do things myself. Now I'm a mod for the RGSS Support and Script Analysis.

Why give up for such a thing?

Brew helped a ton in the "The Ultimate Script Request" (which the topic is sad enough. "Look at my request. It'll be the best thing since sex.")

He offered in 3 post, 2 huge explanations and in the other, a code snippet, and it didn't like you put more than 5 seconds of effort to even try.

Sorry if I seem to be going off the rail, but I take pride that this community is such a success because there are a lot of people willing to help. When someone whines that they don't get help, boo hoo, but when they whine and DO get help... pffft.
