Hi all,
After a long absence, of almost a whole year :shock:, i decided to return to the forums where i started scripting, spriting and game design altogether.
Who am i?
Maybe some of you know of me, but i think most of you wont. For the people who don't know or remember me, I'm razendnomar, but my most used nick these days is Nomar, if this sounds familiar to some of you, maybe because I've played with or against you in some steam games. I'm an active Team Fortress 2 player, like playing RTS and FPS games, I applied for a clan, so that might draw some time, but not as much as an USA clan does. I live in The Netherlands, am 18 years young, likes playing soccer, but our team got disbanded because there were to few players left to make up a whole squad. I'm a freshmen at college, going for my Bachelor. The study is called Media Technology. The project for this block is making an Java application for your mobile phone, so expect some pixel work from me for it and maybe even me asking some help about how to program something in Java.
Where have i been?
It took me so long to come back because of schoolwork, it started when i went to college, lots of homework and projects coming my way, before that it was just exams and stuff. I had a small return at the end of last year, near Christmas, but couldn't keep myself to regularly look at the forums, so i left again. It was just a short vacation of school and
Now I'm frequently visiting the forums again, reading tuts, looking at pixel art and having some spare time at the moment, maybe even filling some of the ton of requests that are posted/bumbed here every day.
What forums did I visit before my leaving?
I was quite active in the resource forums and at the end of my time here, i was more and more active in the rgss help forums. I'm following programming courses again, not in ruby, but in ActionScript and in Java. I finished ActionScript last trimester. The help T got in the rgss help forums gave me a head start so that was quite boring, doing the basics of programming again *sigh*. I have a Workshop thread somewhere around here, but i think it got locked, or otherwise it certainly died
. I think i make a new one when I'm working on my mobile game.
ok, that's about all. I'm glad to be back, but i need to get used to the new look of the forum. i like the old style more. but that's my personal opinion.
