I'm back... kinda... sorta... blah :P

Okay... I'm gonna post here since it's been so long... I'm finally back after some internet/housing/computer meltdown problems. Not to mention some trouble finding this place... I missed everyone (apparently literally)... just popped into chat and didn't recognise anyone!!!!! :blank: so it's pretty much like being on a new forum, only with an existing postcount. A couple of my posts were deleted, right before the domain switch it looks like, but most of the important stuff is still there. I think just my "goodbye" and my user bars are missing... (which sucks, 'cause I didn't have them backed up anywhere and I don't remember the imageshack links).

My game is on hold until I find a new game engine. Windows ate my files, so I installed Linux instead of reinstalling Windows. I was going to reinstall RMXP on my laptop instead, but I cannot find the reg key for my software. I doubt Enterbrain is gonna have my old key or give me a new one, and I can't afford to replace it right now. I plan on doing some more spriting around here like I used to, just forgive me while I get used to Gimp instead of Photoshop. I MAY pick up my old RO to RTP project, if I can find my old backups of the project. :thumb:

So, I'll prolly crawl around the requests forums :smile: I won't be able to live test anything with RPG Maker, so be patient with me. But, my computer is back online, up and running, and I'm really longing for a sprite fix. I miss working on my game and spriting, can't do crap on the laptop. So I hope you'll have me back to help out a bit even though I'm technically no longer a RMXP user.

Anywho, for those who don't know me, My name is Kat but I usually just go by KaitLynn on the net. Though people usually called me Kait around here. Umm... I'm 28, suffer from fibromyalgia, major depressive disorder, and not as much suffer from social anxiety disorder (I like to call it Anti-Moron Syndrome) & bi-polar disorder. I hate netspeak and leetspeak. I "LOL" and "OMG" with the best of them and I do use some abbreviations, but for the love of all that is unholy, type out the freakin' 3-4 letter words... I do not respond well to u(you), 4(for), etc... I also rarely finish a complete train of thought, so I tend to use ellipsis more than periods... I like ellipsis. I like using long words, or if lacking said words, will make them up as I see fit.

I look around and see all the familiar names gone.. it's like an entirely new community... Nice to see some old friends are still around under new names. Guess I'll have to relearn who everyone is... I apologize if I should know ││█║▌│║▌║ ▌│║▌║ ▌││ but I can't read bar code >_<

I used to hang out in chat all the time, I was used to everyone. I saw a room full of unfamiliar names and my social anxiety kicked up. Maybe I'll mosey in later today.

The resource request forum is deader than I remember. Used to not be able to keep up with it, now there are only a small handful of posts under the necropost timeline and most of those are already filled. **sigh**

Maybe I will dig out the old RO-RTP files... I really wanna do some spritework but working on my game is kinda pointless without an engine to test them on.


(edit) Venetia, that name sounds familiar, I prolly recognise you too from around the forum... it's been years..... Unless you've changed your name too, then you could be anyone... :P

I dropped outta here in 2006~ish when I lost net access... my last update on my project/signature was mid 2007... been trying for months to find this place... should have sent a forum-wide email when the domain changed. I used to get updates when my old subscribed threads were posted in or when my threads were deleted, but that was when the site was still rmxp.org. I knew the moment I saw the "envision. create. share." that I had the right place when I stumbled into here by pure accident (believe it or not, when for once I wasn't trying to find it). Dunno why those threads were deleted. My goodbye I really don't care about, 'cept that I had some nice replies :grin: But if anyone has the links to my old userbars or can upload them or something, I didn't have them backed up and lost them when Windows ate everything.

LOL, Like I said, I really have no problem with acronyms and initialisms, I tend to use them a lot, as well use quite a few abbreviations. Its the lazy abbreviations of words that are already short that get me riled.

And yes, ni hao (that's the ONLY Mandarin Chinese I know) :grin:

I hope you can get RMXP back, and I can't wait to see what a new face in the graphics department will do to the few truly good spriters left here. @ Glitchfinder: I'm really not that good of a spriter. I do mostly edits and frankenspriting... I can do sprites from scratch, but only using an RTP template, I haven't had any success with any of the other sprite styles yet. I just enjoy it

There are only a couple people with whom I had direct contact were in chat that I haven't already found or figured out their forum name. And considering the question about girl spriters, I'll have to take a stab and say you're AnyKey?
