Iceclimber! - 1st attempt at spriting-

This is my 1st attempt at creating a sprite.
It's supposed to be the ice climber Popo, one of my favorite characters from the game Smash Bro's Melee. =P
The biggest problem I've noticed so far is that he looks funny when walking on a snow map because of all the white on him...which isn't good cause they live in a snowy place =S
But anyways!
Comments and tips are very welcome as well as any advice for fixing my 'white' problem.

Hmmm. My best suggestion would be upping the contrast on all of the colors by adding a few more shades. and a darker outline around him would help oodles.
