I Need Some Scriptting Help!! NOT BLINKING CURSOR

Ok I'm needing some help with the cursor_rect... is there a way to make it so the cursor doesn't blink...
like, you have the option to be selected and I want the cursor_rect to appear behind the item name and static..

The layering is something like this:

The window ---> the cursor_rect (not blinking) ---> the option

Is there a way to do this??

The next thing I was going to do, when I resolve my window overlapping problem, was change how the cursor works. I'm not crazy about the blinking or how LARGE the rectangle is. That's gotta go. If nobody helps either of us by the time I get home today, I'll look into this for the both of us and see what I can figure out.
 
It seems to me like it should be under Window_Selectable or Window_Command but I can't find anything dealing with the blinking.. Only the size of the rectangle. Hopefully that points you in the right direction.
 
Thank you atinpanalley !! I was able to change the size of the cursor, but concerning the Blinking I was unable to find anything :S however I'm using tha rewritten hidden class window (found in this forum) if you could help me find if there's something there it could be something

WAIT. search the help file for the word "active", and then look under the subject Window for it. I think that's what you're looking for!!!

Properties

windowskin
Refers to the bitmap (Bitmap) used as a windowskin.

contents
Refers to the bitmap (Bitmap) used for the window's contents.

stretch
The wallpaper display method. If TRUE, stretches the wallpaper graphic; if FALSE, tiles it. The default value is TRUE.

cursor_rect
The cursor box (Rect). Sets the window's upper left corner using relative coordinates (-16, -16).

active
Cursor blink status. If TRUE, the cursor is blinking.


visible
The window's visibility. If TRUE, the window is visible.
 
No that's not it... I had already tried that, active turns the window you're using active or not!! it means you are using it... of course that also means the cursor is there (so it's blinking) if you turn it off it means you don't want to use that window... I don't know if I explained myself right

The project I'm working on is involving a lot (and I mean really A LOT) of effort, I'm trying to put it together all by myself and I'm trying to put RGSS and RMXP limits to a test. Though I don't want to reveal anything right now, I will when I have solid information and at least some work done on all of the main scritps (it will be the MenuSystem, BattleSystem, maybe a new QAS (Quick Action System)... I will not give you a list of more systems because that's useless.. I mean the other systems only have meaning in the context of game mechaniques so you wouldn't understand them...

Well.... bla..bla..bla....  :wink: :wink:
