I need help with my beginning event please[resovled]

Hello I am Having Trouble with my event
Ok so when you start a new game you get to choose to be a boy or girl.
Simple, right?
well when i leave the area and come back to that certain area with that event it does the whole process again
do you want to be a boy or girl?
it gets frustrating and im not good with switches
all i want is for you to pick your gender once and that would be it for the whole game

You need to know how to use switches. Try looking over missingno's tutorial, it should be helpful.

Like Regi said, you need to know switches for a number of things, not just this.  But if you want to do something a little easier, duplicate your map and delete that object.  Set the objects that transport you to that map to your new one.  If you're confused, I'll try to upload a video, but won't be able to do it until next week, since that's when my computer with RPGXP is finished being repaired (I hope :tongue

It's not very smart to get used to not using switches. Learn switches! It should be the first thing you do. If you can't handle switches, you will encounter so many problems that you will be over your head within minutes. Learn switches.

Like I said, you need to switches for a number of other things, but if he/she (Gender not specified in profile) wants to use my method temporarily until he/she's comfortable with switches, then he/she can.  If he/she can find an easier way than to use switches, then I say do it!  But if not, learn switches!
