Recently I have noticed a massive change in my perception of life and spirituality. This could be a direct effect of me coming of age or due to the fact that I am now quite resolute in how I want to live my life. In all this I have noticed a strange, but not entirely ethereal, response to unexplained "energies". I have noticed that I can somehow decipher people in different ways based not only on their outward behavior but somehow from another perspective. With this insight I have noticed I am able to reason with people more. I am capable of being slightly more objective in my reasoning of most things.
The problem here is that I feel this is just a sign of maturity. However, it has awakened in me an interest to uncover how people feel about the possibility of human energies, and how the average human being can perceive of them and interpret them. The discussion here is not entirely based on my specific experience and whether or not it's valid, I merely used that as a segue into the topic at hand.
First, I'll describe what I mean by energies. Many people have heard of the energy of chi, and how the body is enveloped in the energy force - our aura. So by energies I mean an intangible element of the human psyche that reveals, in some manner, psychological and emotional information about the person.
Second, I'd like to present a variety of questions to narrow the scope of the discussion:
• Do humans possess an energy force, separate or related to the force known as chi, that gives off psychological and emotional information to those who A.)are somehow able to perceive them or B.)choose to perceive them?
• Can these energies be perceived as objective truths or are they, as most things in life, perceived subjectively and taken in different context from individual to individual? For example, if Person A's energy put off the signal of the anger he truly felt, would Person B feel it as anger? Would Person C perceive it as anger as well, or as something entirely separate?
• Considering the average human mind, can one who can perceive these signals make conscious decisions based upon them?
• Do these energies exist from within the human body? If so, where do they originate? Or do they exist on some other medium, such as the collective unconscious?
• Could a person, who is consciously aware of his/her own energies, influence their signals directly?
I understand some of this is kind of strange, but I feel that the point is valid and leaves for an interesting conversation. I want to leave it open to many interpretations. I'm not a knowledgeable person when it comes to religious ideals on such energies, so I'd be glad to get some input on them from anyone who practices an "energy observant" religion or knows of one.
Thanks for your interest. Have fun!
