So I found a site saying how to make a killing on the Internet. It promised £200 to £4000 a day...
I entered a fake e-mail just to see what it would say, and here's the deal:
1. Register on an online casino
2. Play roulette with their "system"
The system is this:
- Bet £1 on black
- If this fails, bet £2 on red
- If this fails, bet £4 on black
- If this fails, bet £8 on red
- If this fails, bet £16 on black
- If this fails, bet £32 on red
- If this fails, bet £64 on black
-
-
-
- Continue until you get to your goal.
You're guaranteed to win! Why? Well, there's a 50/50 chance of getting red or black, so you are guaranteed to win somewhere down the line.
It's complete bullshit.
If you toss 50 coins and everyone loses, the 51st flip still has a 50/50 chance of getting heads.
It is completely mutually exclusive. The previous result has absolutely no effect on the next result.
Just because you've lost every game so far does not mean you will win the next. It is still 50/50.
Furthermore, roulette wheels have a green "0" - so it's not even 50/50, it's always in the dealer's favour.
But there is, here, a big way of getting money from the Internet.
The website in question had a link to a casino site to try it on. Funnily enough, at the end of this link was &r=123456
The website gets 10% of any winnings that the casino gains from the dumbfuck who clicks your link.
In other words, the website in question did find a way of making a killing from the Internet and from exploiting silly systems: get a retard to do something stupid and take a percentage of the money he gives to the real moneymakers.
It will of course win sometimes. And so they can have testimonials, of people who make millions. Similarly, you'll find stories of people who won the Lottery. Still doesn't mean it's a guaranteed moneymaker.
This thread, however, is to discuss real ways of making money online. I've tried a lot of methods, I've made... hmm, $80, $60 of which is inaccessible so does not count.
:D
In short I think it is possible to make a bomb on the Internet: by telling other people they can, and taking their money in the process.
I did think of writing an ebook, charging $5 for it, and having the text say:
How do make money on the Internet
Do what I just did
