how do you start off a animated battlers script?

I'm new to this forum but I'm not new to gamemaking. I've been working on the same game for about five years. I just recently made the move to xp and i'm not familiar with rgss at all. the tutorials help a little but what i hope to acomplish is a little lofty. I want to include a cbs with animated battlers( enemies and party alike) but, i'd like for the battlers to be able to move indepently, sort of like kingdom hearts:chain of memories. other party members besides the main character would be ai controlled, and the interface would be completely hotkey oriented. i.e. to use an item, press i to bring up the item menu. it would not be turn based at all, but more of a interupt system, where if you get hit with an attack while you're attacking, your attack is stopped. please someone help me get started. my ideas are about to burst out of my forehead, i want this so bad.:)
 
i checked out the script you linked me to, but it's not exactly what i'd like. it'll do, though. What I had in mind was like when the MC touches an enemy on the map, you're teleport to a battle background like normal, but all the battlers can move indepently of your input, except the main character. you know, like kingdom hearts:chain of memories? I wanted to do it myself, but seeing as though i'm only making a demo version with xp, (the real version is a 3d adventure with a different game engine) the sbabs is fine for now. Thanks though. this might be better than my idea.

Now I can understand what you want... I have an idea. You can use Mr. Mo EvE ABS, and use events to mimic the allies in a separeted battle map.
