How do i upload a game.exe

I was just wondering what all i have to put in a folder to make the game.exe work(with out the game project editor, lol)im using rmvx. All i want to know is what files to upload with the game.exe(you probably think im a noob...well...IM NOT! lol)

well, you need all of the files that you used in your game. If you used the RTP, then you need all of the RTP files that you used. Any thing custom that you put in as well needs to be put into the folders. Then you need the RGSS202E.dll (I think that's the dll file. I'm not 100% though because I don't have VX...) Then it should work. Also, you want to make sure that the RTP isn't enabled. I dunno how to do that though except by going into the config.ini file and erasing Standard on RTP1. Once again though, this is all based off of knowledge of XP and hoping that it applies to VX.

I think it would probably easier if you compress the game data to an installation .exe.
I'm working with the XP generally but I'm sure that you can use such a function in VX, too.
But before: Copy all used RTP-files into your game directory (all the RTP-charsets into the folder
"charsets" in the game directory etc.)

Then, in the maker, go to "File" -> "Compress Game Data" (or something like that)

Now you will get an [Your Game Name].exe file which allows the user to install your game with
all the ressources but without the file that gives him the possibility to edit the game with the maker.

I hope that this is what you wanted to know.

VX added the option to "Include RTP data" when you compress, so you don't have to Export or Copy the RTP data manually.
I would expect it will include the RGSS202E.dll as well. verify this by extracting to a new folder before distributing.
