How do I make a test demo and trailer on video?

What programs can I make video test demos and trailers with that records the sound? I prefer freeware programs. I hope they can record sound or I just have to add background music on my Windows Movie Maker.

Totally Free. Dont know if it records sound though.

It does not record sound very well. Does anyone know of any other recording devices?

I have no clue if Fraps would work with RMXP, but as far as I've seen, it records sound very well.
