How do I make a house?

I'm getting frusturated and I feel like a total noob, but how do I make a house with the Castle Town tileset? Does it have to have that ugly white roof? Thanks in advance.

That's the way people mainly map with the tileset. Of course some changes, like the roof and wall apply. As for the roof, try some alternate tiles...

Nope. Don't use those tiles for rooves. You may not have noticed but they don't tile properly with the other roof tiles. If you don't want to use that tile, open up MSpaint and do a bit of spriting to create a new tile.
