How big is your house?

I wish I had a basement, I don't know anyone with one. They're cool.

Chez moi, j'ai chambers trois. Uh, three bedrooms (one very small -box room), living room, dining room. Garage. Extension with downstairs toilet and shirt corridor, with kitchen (decent sized) and study Large garden for the area but nothing in my house is particularly big. Oh and upstairs bathroom o/c.

Idk I guess my house is medium sized, about what you'd expect for outer suburban semi detached British. I know Brits have like the smallest houses in the developed world or something.

My house is pretty standard of most middle-class homes in rural Ontario. We've got one floor and a basement, a kitchen, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and a laundry room. I guess it's pretty big compared to a lot of houses in the UK at least.

It's a good size for a family of four, I guess. My bedroom is the size of a walk-in closet but I'm hardly in there anyway vOv

Awesome Bro

Well I just live in a standard sized UK home that consists of 3 bedrooms (There's 6 of us, so 2 per room), a bathroom which can't fit more than 2 people in (It's so small!), a medium sized kitchen, living room takes up like half the bottom floor, and the living room takes up the other half (I'd say our living room is quite big compared to others on the street), I think the reason the living room and dining room are so small is we have an extension on the house which homes a garage, which has been converted into a computer room (I'm sat in it right now, it's actually nice in here), and the kitchen, so yeah... we also have a loft which unfortunately you can't stand up in unless you're less than 5ft because it's low down, lol...

... From the outside it looks shitty, my dad is actually painting it a cream colour as we speak lol, so hopefully if Google Maps decides to update anytime soon, you might see a nicer looking paint job, lol... also, the garden isn't a mess like that anymore, and we don't have that car anymore, it was my brothers and it kept breaking down so he scrapped it.

Star and I live in a brick house, that has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a linen closet, a kitchen, and dining room. I don't think it's very big. :/

I wish I had a basement, though.

it's against state building code to have a basement in florida
(the land is hollow, filled with underground aquifers, & is prone to flooding).

they weren't allowed in cali either b/c of earthquakes :(

but yeah basements are cool. a dude could scream bloody murder for hours in one and no one would hear a thing ............

my house is, in fact, not a house, but a townhouse.

2 floors. 2 master bedrooms (bedrooms with attached bathrooms). 2.5 baths (powder room downstairs). 2 car garage that was turned into a rec room w/ a pool table.

there's a covered/screened lanai/patio out back and the loft connecting the two m. bedrooms upstairs is where we do all our gammin.

it's mostly enough room for us. though we're saving up to buy a house-house when we move out of state. hopefully with 3 bedrooms this time so we can have a gym/studio. and i guess a kid at some point IDK.

A townhouse with two car garage!? Round here for a typical townhouse you're lucky to get a foot in front of your house to plonk your bins. This is fairly typical in my inner-city:

I'd post my housefront but I'm fairly sure everyone knows what my area is so they'd rape me etc, but it's like this:

that's similar to how refurbished townhomes are in older neighborhoods in the northeast & DC/virginia, and occasionally in the west, but most "modern" (circa 1980+) U.S. architecture in non-dense suburban areas have ample space allowances for garages.

ugh, zoning & building code
i need out of this job field

but the U.S. is a big giant place with lots of land and we like us some cars. i've done marketing shit for tens of thousands of homes/pre-con communities, and honestly I can say you would be hard-pressed to find a pre-con house, townhouse, or even condo, without a garage or, rarely, detached garage.

i once did an interactive brochure for a pre-con house with 5 bedrooms and a 5 car garage (well, a 4-car with a tandem). I guess they were expecting it to be a house for some rich motherfuckers whose kids all own their own car or something. very strange. like half the house's square footage was allotted for garages. idk.

My house is honestly too big for two people. We've got three rooms we never use. We've got four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a dining room.

Let's see our house has four bedrooms (plus an unfinished one we use for storage), 3 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, and a dining room. On the outside we have a small porch, a two car garage, and a separate building which kind of looks like a barn but it's not, which my dad uses for storage and whatever else 40 year old guys with too much time on their hands do.

Oh and an extra room that has a bunch of machinery shit in it, like our water heater/softener.

My house has a livingroom from about 4x9m, with next to it the kitchen and the hallway (with the bathroom).
First floor is 2 med-size bedrooms, a small one and the shower. And the attic, my room, is the same size as our living room :D

2 houses
1 is a two or 3 story house, with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths with both having showers, a rather nice living room on the first floor as well as a somewhat okay sized kitchen, and a basement floor with like one large room and 2 extra rooms that are about as big as the bedrooms. Not that much space to run or move around, but it's p big and nice. The backyard is also huge BUT lopsided, like all the way back is high up, so mowing it is a bitch, and the grass grows fast too. :\ Also, there's a... house? shed? storage house in back of the yard that's also p big, we don't use it.

can't seem to find the google maps for this location :P

The other house, the one i consider the main house, is actually smaller, 3 bed rooms, 2 baths with only 1 having a shower, and my bedroom there used to be small as crap WHILE having the biggest bed in the house :|. Luckily, we'd extended it an extra 3 or 5 feet or so. Living room, no one lives in, has a little shrine area thingey for the parent's religion (dao dai or something like that), and mostly empty except for shoes and chairs and a fireplace. We've got another 2 extra large rooms, one the kitchen and the other this... storage? room, which we mainly store stuff in. A small little shed directly connected to the kitchen in the back leads to the backyard, which is p freakign big, with lots of veggies and gardens and crap. The extra kitchen/storage room and shed we built, gah.

Awesome Bro

What the fuck you have two houses, both of them are bigger than my house... WHAT THE FUCK DAXIS GIVE ME A HOUSE YOU GREEDY FUCK!

well, cause my stupid mom thought the recession back in like 2008 made houses go down, she hurriedly bought some house saying that shit would only go up.... stupid bitch didn't realize that it's actually plummted to like half its worth since she bougght it, and refuses to rent it out and etc. etc. So i've had like 3 years of HARD labor fixing up the house, and we're not even sure when to sell it. Actually, if we sell it for its cost now, we basically lost like 30000 dollars or something like that.

That's the one i'm currently in with the crap mobile clear internet, btw.

I only just recently got finished moving into my new house, a large part of which was built by me

It's a two story, three bedroom, two 1/2 bath, with a pretty open floor plan. I enjoy my upstairs; plenty of privacy and a bathroom almost exclusively used by me.

Go figure, I finally have an area in my house that I like and I only get to enjoy it for a couple of years before I move out for college. Bleh.
