Hosting an SQL CE server?

Hey guys.

I'm sure some of you have already heard about Eversorrow Online, the online rmvx game the Fatedrawn team is working on at the moment.

Well, we're having a huge issue that needs to be resolved immediately. I'm the one hosting the game... but I live in podunk wyoming and I have shit for internet speed and connectivity. So I need to know if anyone know where I could set our server up to be hosted and still be available for editing and such for a decent price. Meaning... $5/month or less... perferrably. It's REALLY small and traffic will be pretty tiny as well until beta releases, and even then we'll probably only have at most 40 or so people online. And that'll probably be on an expansion release day. Lol.

If anyone knows of anything like this, please let me know.

We're using Microsoft SQL CE (compact edition) Which is the only server available to the VNG server right now. If this gets updated, I'm sure it'll be easier to find somewhere.

Also... if someone is interested in joining the team we still need spriters and script editors (no scripts are needed. Just minor edits and translating for the non-scripting admins. lol )

Thanks in advance.

You could prolly just throw your database up on a shared hosting account with any of the providers out there for $5 a month. Check out the various outfits out there that provide shared hosting and find the one with all the specific features you need. You could also use the account to set up your own website for your mmo.

You may have to convert your mysql since many of the host out there usually use mysql 4, 5, and postgre.

Yeah... That's the problem though. The server won't run on anything but Sql CE. Which sucks. I'm hoping this will or CAN be changed soon. If not, I don't know what to do. lol

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll start doing some research.
