Hmm... crap.

Alright, I'm basically a complete newbie when it comes to RMXP and scripting in general. That said, naturally I have a problem.

Before I begin, allow me to start by stating that I'm using the free trial for the legal version of RMXP. Not sure if the fact that it's not yet registered would effect anything, but I thought I'd throw that out there.

Anyway, now for the dilemma. I downloaded the awesome 'Steal SDK' utility from the site in an effort to both preview via the demo how stealing in RMXP might work and play around a bit with the process in my little nothing-as-of-yet project. That said, I was under the impression that I should copy all the added scripts, including the SDK, over to my script editor as well as copy all the thievery-related skills to my database and I'd be fine.

Well, I wasn't.

I've got the following new scripts on my project, now:

-----------------------------
Standard Development Kit
------------------------------
Steal System
Steal_Constants
Customizations
Mods to classes
Trickster Module
Scene_title_edits

Followed, of course, with Main coming in last.

And for whatever reason, when I try to testplay, I get the following error message:

Unable to find file Data/Skills2.rxdata.

Well, hell. I haven't the foggiest idea where I might find this file I'm apparently supposed to have and undoubtedly had before I brought all these new scripts over.

Help from a more experienced programmer (read also: someone with the slightest bit of expertise whatsoever) would be damned appreciated. I'd really like to fiddle around with the stealing program; I've got a game in mind whereby a prominent character would be a thief.

Thanks.

It's included in the demo of Trickster's Steal, Mug and Scan. You'll find it in the \data folder.

Hah! Incredible. That was... very, very easy. I feel so stupid now. I'll remember this whole 'copy the data file to your project' thing in the future!

Wow, I feel so dumb. Ah well. Thanks a million!

You don't copy Skills2.rxdata to your project folder, If you do and Steal.rxdata is not found then all skills will be replaced by the ones found in Skills2.rxdata (leading to errors and bugs later). The error was because he didn't have Steal.rxdata in his project folder and if Steal.rxdata is not present the script will look for Skills2.rxdata, which is exactly Steal.rxdata + Skills.rxdata put together. I think I mentioned this to you in another thread a few weeks back.
