HK Schoolgirl trio

It took a while to make the outfit, but I'm pretty pleased with how it came out. Once again, I had a world of trouble with the shoes. I think they ended up being pillow-shaded

In any case, I messed around with palettes a bit and came up with your average magical schoolgirl trio.

If you look at the hair you can notice some differences so they are not mirror copies per say but they are very similar.

Like I said ... I made the outfit from scratch, then messed around with switching palettes to make 3 different looks.

So, yes, all three of them are a recolor of the same character, with slight hair differences. The original character was made by me.

I'm looking for critique on the outfit, hair and color choices

I think they're lovely. I'm not sure how a tileset with that sort of color palette would look like, but the sprites are very nice looking.

Normally, I hate HK to death (since most of my games are RTP-styled and I don't want a bunch of giants running around) but this is just amazing. Great work.

Thanks! I seem to do better at still poses than the walking animation, but I'll try to do a full sprite sheet for each. Hopefully it won't take months ':|

I actually invision them in a rather plain school-type environment: white walls, metalic grays and oak furniture, etc. They seem like they'd pop up, but since the colors are a little more on the pastel side, it wouldn't be a glaring difference. Glad you like the sprites

Believe it or not, I'm actually using RTP graphics for my game as well. I just haven't been able to find as many resources for HK as I'd like and the prospect of doing all the graphics from scratch seems just too overwhelming. But I'm still practicing my spriting! Maybe it'll inspire me enough to plunge in and make more graphics. Otherwise, they'll just be useful resources for others ^_^

I like the outfits but I feel that you should work on the top piece the shoulder pads seam to not be "round" enough. They seem almost masculine.

Also I wanted to say that the skirt looks really nice. Good job on that.

There was a slight puff to their sleeves, but it was covered up by the hair. I didn't really want a huge round sleeve, but I didn't want a tailored one either, hence the little puff that got lost beneath the mountain of hair ':|

I'll take it into consideration and see if I can come up with something that looks a little better

And thanks. The skirt took forever to shade right, but I really like how it came out.

ACtually, first time I remember it premiering was on ABC Family back when it was Fox Family, then I think Cartoon Network made a few episodes.
