Ah, thanks. My reference image was not quite right, I'll get to work on that one soon/tomorrow.

In the meantime, an update.

I tried to get the gun resting in the left hand, but the elbow is proving hard to do.

I'm mainly working on the pose itself, and when I get that right, I'll start doing different guns.

I like it, although his left hand shouldn't be around the whole gun. If it's a relaxed pose, the gun should just sit in his hand. He shouldn't grip it.

The hand holding the grip looks pretty solid, but the hand over the fore end still needs some work.  Right now it looks like the hand is bending at the wrist.  Try making the figure's left arm bend differently to make the pose work.

This is just a quick and dirty pixel sketch to show you what I mean.  Your WIP images are scaled differently than I'm used to, so I wasn't able to do a 1:1 pixel image.

Thanks for that, I knew there was something wrong with it, I just couldn't put my finger on it. Showing the elbow at the bottom evidently wasn't pretty. Cheers.

Hand is still too small. And yeah you'll need to shade that guy a bit better once you work out the pose.

Hands are not unremarkable round blobs. Clearly define his fingers with either shading or outlines or both.
