[HK]First Try at a Tileset

I laughed at the dirty picture of the HK template. Agreed on the flat look, but using 3 colors is hard not to be flat, and I dunno if you're allowed to dither. Anyways, good job, you make me laugh, which happy make for Eiji!

How do you do that? I also didn't know how to shade the walls but That's how my walls look. If you care: the sprite I dithered was my favorite to sprite.

EDIT:: Well you know besides the HK Bikini Girl.

by "dithering" he is refering to the smears on the walls, not the poster. Your smears can't be blurred like that, try to find a way to draw them in a solid-colour way.

On a lot of things, like the pillows, adding a bit of shadow will add a lot more depth. It doesn't have to be one-colour-per-surface, lineart means having an outline, a base colour, and a shade. You have that in a lot of places but are using it minimally.

Also in a lot of places your contrast is too low, like the ghetto blaster. Make the outline a lot darker and the shadow a little darker.

I don't have much time for more critique right now. I will come back with more when I can.

PS: you are doing pretty well, actually. Learn to do shading more and to add more detail as lineart, and add more to the set to make it more versatile :)

@samboy: Um.... I don't quite understand. The Shadows are both going to the right... I thought the shadows were the same.

@ERK

OH!! I thought dithering was that grid type style of shading... I dont really know how to explain. On all my sprites I put either too much contrast or too less. Thanks. And I'll try to fix some things. Oh and how would I put the shadow under the table if it's not right?
