HK Combat Stance

I'm trying to create some sword fighting idle stances for my game but it turns out to be very hard

I would like to hear what needs to be improved

sankyou

Heres a quick edit, personally I'm pretty happy with it , now I'll try to create some animation frames for this but I really have no idea ... :(

the pose is for a 2h weapon, my initial try was to get a shield and sword but I found that to be way too hard for my skills

anyways heres a quick mockup

I adjusted the back hand so it aligns with the weapon

please !!! :)

the shading aspect really is not that important to me because these are just references for the in-game sprites probably these will appear on the first builds of the engine but in the finished product none of these templates will be shown

Awesome Bro

Okay, so basically, I've changed the right arm (The one closest to us) slightly, basically just neatened the linework up a little, so it didn't look so 45 degree, lol.

I've also editted the far arm, well, just the hand, so it's lower, and not as far out, I've basically reformed it to look as if it's holding the hilt instead of holding two fingers out (That's what yours sort of looks like, no offense, lol)

I've remodelled the right leg (The one closest to us) so the thigh doesn't look so fat, and given it more of a "knee bend" if that makes sense, lol. I've also done the same for the far leg.

The feet, as you can see, have both been changed, because they look as if they're in two completely perspectives compared to the body, and as if he's on his tiptoes on the right foot (The one closest to us), so I've made them flatter, and changed the perspective to hopefully suit the rest of the sprite.

As you can see, I've also added a little more shading on the legs to include a knee, although I'm happy with the look of it, you can remove it if you wish. I've also neatened up the linework in other various places, although minor, I think it helps (Like the chest beside his far arm).

Okay, without further stalling, lol, here's what he looks like, along with an example of him holding a (Poorly shaded) sword;

Good luck with this, and I hope I've helped :thumb:

You're welcome lol, always glad to help, especially when it's something I like doing, haha.

Yeah, good luck with animating it :thumb:

Jbrist: any comments for this one? Im not used to pose a character with these "cartoonish" proportions , its hard

thanks!
