He does indeed look like a hippy, albeit a hippy with incredibly flat hair. Take a look at these to see how good hair can be sprited.

You need to fix your shading, it appears you just recolored the skin shading, which makes his clothes look skin-tight.
Redoing the shading and adding folds will make the clothes look baggier.
P.S-More contrast in the hair shades.
