High Quality DVD Screenshots

I'm currently using PowerDVD (by CyberLink) to watch DVDs and screenshot'em... well, unfortunately, the program sucks at screenshooting ^_^ Here's an example of what you get as a result:

As you can see, the quality is nothing like DVD-quality, and the dimensions are also messed up... (it screens in 3:4 instead of 16:9), and the size (720x576 pixels) is also quite small, I guess. I'm curious if anyone knows a program that can do this any better... or at least can tell me there's no way to do it because of [...] crap. ^_^

Thanks in advance for your help. ^_^

Lol ^_^ Well, unfortunately, this - unexpectedly ;) - is the same for all DVDs, not only the Tom-Cruise-ones ^_^ (I actually don't own any more Tom-Cruise-DVDs to test it... ^_^ )

Still, anything in mind to help me out?

I believe it is some sort of protection, as the DvD companies do not want you to post screenshots of movies on the internet, so by making you unable to get a high quality one it stops that from happening. There are probably programsd out there that can help though.

(I know with some DvD's, like Bullet in a Bible, if I print screen and paste in paint the movie keeps on playing in paint as a screenshot-proof thing.)

It's Tom Cruise's lawyers trying to make him look taller.

I like it ;)

Yeah, I just do what minkoff said. It's not hard to bypass, really.

MAC - "Hi, I'm a mac LOL"

PC - "And I'm a pc. I try and make people believe they cant take screenshots of running video in media players"

MAC - "What's a media player?"

Yeah, VLC is pretty much the best media player you can get (screw the screencap feature, though -.- )... even more for MAC ;) (for Windows, WMP10 has almost the same functions as VLC has...)

Anyway, to my problem of the moment: After I got rid of my 'WMP is too stupid to output a DVD on two screens at the time' problem, I now ran into something else: The stupid player just won't show the video sharp and there's no fucking option with which I could turn any smoothening off -.-
Also, there's only an option to disable overlays in the advance hardware acceleration window, which also doesn't work... can you tell me what exactly to disable to get it to work?
