Hi Again

Hi! Some of you might remember me from the rmxp.net days (I recognize a few names!), when I was pretty active. College and mmos caused me to lose interest in game making for a while. I think I have rekindled that passion, and figured I'd better stop lurking.

I like to occupy my time thinking of game ideas I'll never have time to use. Sometimes I do something productive, like program or try to practice pixel art. The past year I've been working on an XNA game which I've almost finished programming. I hope to post more about it when I've got some more art done. On the non-game-related front, I like dogs, comics and Reeses candies! So yeah, that's me.

P.S: You've got some nice smileys here! :robot:

You probably don't know me, but old members coming back just warms my heart

venetia did all the smileys, they're our pride and joy. welcome back, and make sure you stay a while, would ya?

I've been saying hello to you every time you've viewed a thread I thought youd notice c:

Welcome back bro!

Definately remember you. IIRC you made the first, or at least one of the first, mouse input scripts.

Welcome back. That XNA thing sounds interesting.

What kind of game are you making in XNA? An rpg? How advanced is it, a simple game or a deep rpg, I mean.

It's sort of a cross between Bust a Move (Puzzle Bobble) and Smash Brothers. A puzzle game but with emphasis on character selection.

It's not as complex as an rpg -- I wanted something a little simpler to start learning the framework.

But do you have the skill to make a more complex game like an rpg in xna if you wanted to? Or do you need to practice a lot more for that? Just curious.

Oh yeah, it's definitely possible in XNA. I have the programming covered haha; it's what I went to school for. Now the game design I'm still practicing!
